
Beaches of the Costa del Sol
The Costa del Sol has become one of the most popular tourist destinations for the thousands of tourists that visit every year looking for good weather and pleasant temperatures that are the norm here. The Costa del Sol boasts of having 325 days of sunshine a year.
Where better place to enjoy this temperate weather if not on the beache? The Costa del Sol has 185 miles of coastline, arranged in two zones: West and East Costa del Sol, with the historic and beautiful city of Malaga nestled between the two.
From Manilva to Maro (Nerja), passing by Marbella, Fueengirola, Benalmadena, Torremolinos, Rincón de la Victoria and Torre del Mar (Velez Malaga) among others, Malaga has a great diversity of beaches that cater to the personal taste of anyone who wants to enjoy a day on the warm sand.
The temperature found in its waters is an average of 18 degrees centigrade, although in the summer (July and August) it can reach up to 23 degrees. Ideal for practicing all kinds of water sports.
The facilities on the beaches is outstanding. The majority of them offer services of lifesaving, showers, footbath, parking and rental of hammocks and parasols to name but a few. In 2017 there were 30 prestigious Blug Flags awardeded and flying along the coast which are proof of the quality of its beaches.
The vast majority of beaches have boardwalks ideal for walking and offering wonderful walks enjoying the coastal views and sunsets. Always, you will find the famous "Chiringuitos" on the beach where you can regain energy by tasting the traditional skewers of sardines and the "pescaito frito" accompanied by sangria, wine and cold beer.
