Fiesta de la vendimia – Manilva
Saturday 2 September.
Manilva celebrates the most traditional and ancient of her festivals, the grape harvest festival that fills the streets during the first weekend of the month of September. Where the most characteristic is the grape to extract the first wine grape must of the year, which then is offered to visitors and friends for your wine tasting. It is celebrated in the town of Manilva, coinciding with the end of the collection of the grapes.

• The Saturday, first thing in the morning, there is a charanga, which runs through the streets of the nucleus of Manilva, announcing the long-awaited feast. By the afternoon, the holy mass in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows.
• Sunday, big day of this vintage begins with a mass rociera, giving her thanks for the harvest obtained. The evening continues with the ride of the participants of the dressage. Then procesiona the image of Our Lady of Sorrows, to which the protector of the vineyards will pour out his blessing on the fields. The ride of the horseman make you enjoy to the people that swarmed the place. At the end comes the most anticipated moment, when the farmers take in the plaza de la Vendimia the first broth of our grapes. The party continues until well into the night.
Fiesta del ajo blanco – Almachar
Saturday 2 September.
The municipality of Almáchar organizes every year the festival gastronomic dish typical of this town of malaga, which is a Festival of National Tourist Interest. And as there is so much love of flamenco in Almáchar, with a rock very active and participatory, working closely with the council organises a flamenco festival with the occasion of the Feast of Ajoblanco in Almáchar since 1968.
Regional dances, choirs, folk music, verdiales and, of course, the Noche Flamenca of Ajoblanco, an appointment more for flamenco in Malaga.
Fiesta de la vendimia – Mollina
From 8 to 10 September.
Mollina celebrates the Harvest, the fruit of the work of the people that has as its protagonist the wine, with tastings and food pairings. These days you can enjoy workshops of initiation to the tasting, and a macro-wine tasting. They also perform activities of singing and dancing, there is a market of artisan products, race tape, horse fair day, and dances by night.
This feast has its origin in the popular celebration of the equinox, which came to celebrate the harvest of the grape crop in the province of Málaga dates back to phoenician times.
Festival de la Luna mora de Guaro.

The coming days 8 and 9 September 2017 will be held the XXI Festival of the Luna Mora of Guaro
These days, the village of Guaro becomes a meeting point for the music and culture of al-andalus, in which it will be installed in streets, squares and avenues of the traditional Souk Artisans. With the only illumination of the light over 25,000 candles, distributed by the old town, the music arabo-andalusian-sephardic takes over the streets and squares of this town.
The programming will feature activities such as parades, workshops, exhibitions, storytelling, souk artisanal and gastronomic, … for all the urban helmet of the municipality illuminated with thousands of candles, which as always we moved back to our past of al-andalus. We will also have great
concerts that were held as in previous years in the “Auditorium of the Luna Mora”.
Embrujo Andalusí – Carratraca

The Festival from its Origins
This festival, born in CARRATRACA, in the year 1997. The organizers thought of in our town, because it is an incomparable setting for this type of event, where you mix the cultures, arab and christian, giving way to the culture of al-Andalus.
Our most recent tradition, merged with the deepest roots of Al-Andalus, and tolerance among cultures existing in both times, gave place twenty years ago to the birth of this event.
This Festival aims to raise awareness of the cultural legacy of al-Andalus, in the remembrance of the coexistence during several centuries, in the middle ages, and to move the visitor to the past. The souk, life, economic, cultural of the time, it recreates a medieval market, where the visitor will be able to enjoy the activities are developed: Exhibitions, crafts, workshops, theater, dances, storytelling, parades…..
The dance, andalusian music, and the flamenco, give the special touch to the nights of magic, culminated when the villa is lit with the light of 25,000 candles and torches.
The Auditorium is Natural that Carratraca has for the celebration of the concerts, is located in the foothills of the Sierra, excavated in the rock, resembling a roman amphitheatre, with an acoustic spectacular, causing the astonishment of the professionals, in the it act and the assistants to such acts, becoming a unique venue for all cultural events held in the town.
The organization of the festival has a commitment from the first edition, for the dissemination and promotion of andalusian heritage through Music, Dance, crafts, Art, cuisine, workshops, delving into the roots andalusian, having its culmination in the concerts that are developed under the name Magical Nights in Andalusia in the framework of the centuries-old plaza de toros.
When night falls, the beautiful setting that is the helmet of the villa and its auditorium natural is illuminated by thousands of candles and the enchantment of the moon, creating a magical environment that moved us to our deepest roots.
Carrera de cintas de caballos – Fuente de Piedra
Increasingly more adolescents and also more women who take part in the traditional race Tape, Horse Stone Fountain, declared of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia and a unique Tour of the province. A tradition that has medieval origin and is celebrated on the 8th of September during the patron saint festivities of the municipality villafontense. This year, a total of 40 horsemen come from various villages of the Antequera region and from the age of 12, rode down the main street of Fuente de Piedra to get the tapes that wind previously in reels and are placed in a rope about three meters from the ground. At gallop, the riders must take these tapes with a pike of wood, explained the organizer of the race, Diego Sanchez. This year, the city Council of Fuente de Piedra has awarded 300 euros for the winner, € 200 for the second and 180 for the third, plus another 200 euros for the horseman best dressed, explained the councillor for Fiestas, Chari Castillero who added that the horsemen well-dressed enlarge the image of the patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgin of Virtues, and that comes out in procession accompanied by hundreds of neighbors and visitors.
The race Tape Horse carries more than two centuries to be held, like the presidency, composed by ‘Manolas’, women coming from people who live or have lived in the village but that they return to the town regularly, and that from a stage adorned with shawls and they dressed with mantilla, enjoying the race as the hundreds of people that accompany them.
María del Carmen Hidalgo, a nearby Source of Stone and one of the promoters in getting the career of tapes riding in the year of 1980, formerly of the horsemen participating in the race were the ‘gentlemen’ who walked around with their horses for the agricultural lands of its property. Within the celebrations, Villanueva del Trabuco, a town in the comarca of Nororma, celebrates the Special “Blunderbuss”, a spectacular parade in which locals, and tourists parade through the village with original and colorful costumes.
In the modality of individual, group, couples or family, all of the costumes can opt for the different awards that are given during the day.
Groups and charangas accompany the groups to animate the path until you reach the Plaza del Prado where an orchestra livens the evening up to the wee hours of the morning.
Fiesta de viñeros – Moclinejo
With the entrance of September, month of vineyards and wineries, the region of the Axarquía gives its fruits and Moclinejo , with its traditional Feast of Vines, pays homage to its roots and to the women and men who work in the cultivation of the vine and the production of the moscato wine that makes this villa.

Also, during the Feast will be offered tastings of typical products, such as gazpacho, the roscos and the moscato wine at different points of the town, accompanied by the music of local artists.

Fiesta de Moros y cristianos – Alfarnate

XVII FESTIVAL ARAB ANDALUSIAN
Salares is a small place where time stopped about a thousand years ago in the heart of the “Sharquía” malagueña. Wedged into a narrow ravine, obscured by dense and mature oak, it stands out like a carpet with the intense white of its walls.
Located in the centre of the Natural Park “Sierras Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama”, their position is privileged for the approach to this natural space. Here perfectly combines the landscape with the civil population. The best training forest of holm oak that can be found throughout the levant from malaga survives in this environment, serving as a backdrop for a unique urban ensemble of clear descent of al-andalus.
Organized by the Municipality of Salares, you arrive to the FIFTEENTH edition, have been made in the past calls more than satisfactory results both for organizers and for participants. It is for this reason that it re-convene on this new occasion, in order to promote initiatives of a cultural nature that serve to dynamize the region, as well as a place of approach to the history of this land and the meeting between different ways of understanding our existence.

Concurso tradicional de verdiales – Rincón de la Victoria.
The Competition of Verdiales de Benagalbón is held every year between the second and third week of September; a party that retrieves customs such as the Crash of bands, of interest, musicological, and expression oldest of both the municipality and the province of Malaga.
Quite an event, artistic, socio-cultural in a natural environment of white village close to the mediterranean sea is a privileged. Festividad de Caños Santos – Cañete la real
The festival of the Patron saint of Cañete la Real, our Lady of Cañosantos, are marked by tradition, culture and religious devotion. This great faith that the cañeteros/as they preach to their Virgin has been able to preserve the celebration for centuries. It is, therefore, a very popular festival in the town and throughout the region.
The Feast in Honor of our Lady of Cañosantos is celebrated every year on the third weekend of September, although their actions begin nine days before, praying the rosary of the aurora through the streets of our town and attending the ninth. A tradition in the Cultural, religious and festive that even though it has been losing in many other neighboring towns with celebrations of the same type, in Cañete is preserved as in the olden days, full of leisure activities, cultural and religious.
This is a very popular festival enjoyed by cañeteros/as and neighboring towns adjacent, to which we must add those natural Cañete, migrants, returning each year to their land, from many places throughout Spain and mostly from Barcelona. The feasts of Cañete la Real are organized each year by a Brotherhood whose past dates back to centuries before the proclamation and celebration of these festivals.
The Brotherhood of Nuestra Señora de Caños Santos, the oldest, traditional and numerous brothers and sisters of the municipality, 1021 date of December 2008 organizes all the events that are to take place each year on the third weekend of September. The Band of Music gives the starting signal to the leisure activities-holiday, to the rhythm of a paso doble announces the beginning of the festivities through the streets of Cañete.
Día de la pasa – El Borge
El Borge, a town producer of raisins for excellence, celebrates every year the “Day of Passing”, a festival focused on the promotion of this fruit of vital importance in its economy. That day, among other acts, will perform demonstrations of processing and transport in baskets on top of the head of the grape.
This town, little more than a thousand inhabitants, is promoting this party in honor of the passes with designation of origin málaga. This day brings together more than 10,000 people, in addition to giving away bags of raisins, also offers gazpacho, muscatel wine, sausages and other typical products of the gastronomy of the region of la Axarquía, all enlivened with pandas de verdiales choirs and folk music.
During the day, they make different demonstrations of the work that are given for its preparation, from the harvesting of the grapes, transfer, laying and drying in achievements, until the chopped raisins, screening, packaging and pisa of the muscatel grape (the juice produced is tasted by the visitors).
Día del boquerón Victoriano – Rincón de la victoria
From 22 to 24 September.
Rincón de la Victoria, a municipality of the comarca of the Axarquia, on the second Sunday of the month of September, celebrates the day of the Boquerón Victoriano, as of the closing of the tourist season in summer and a tribute to the star product of the gastronomy.
For three days, along its promenade, you can taste the typical anchovies people from alava, as well as different products of the traditional cuisine of the area, encouraged all of this by the Panda de Verdiales in the municipality.
At the same time, it celebrates a Culinary Competition, with the boquerón Victoriano as a star ingredient, among young professionals of the cuisine of malaga.
Día de la almendra – Almogía
In the event there are more than fifty exhibitors from companies from the region with the objective of promoting the local products and raise awareness of the traditions surrounding the cultivation and processing of the almonds.
The program of events includes tastings of chanfaina, almond ice cream, desserts made from almonds, muscatel wine, etc

Noches de la Bella Jarifa – Cártama

In this sample, which revives the traditional image of the cheese market, involving around 40 cheese makers, artisanal whole of Spain, especially of Andalusia, having become one of the most important trade fairs for this sector at the national level, with the delivery in addition, one of the most prestigious industry awards, the Award for “Guadalteba”
This event includes, also, the celebration, among the neighbors of the municipality, an arrangement of sweets made with cheese and a wide range of leisure and cultural activities.
